On January 11, 2023, the first activity was held within the psychological counseling center. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the university and the International Coaching Association. The president of the association, psychologist Khatuna Muzashvili, conducted a master class for students and university staff.
The psychological counseling center at the university was opened on December 28, 2022 within the framework of the Erasmus+ international project EPSY (creating psychological counseling centers for students in higher educational institutions of Georgia).
The general goal of the project is to provide social and psychological assistance to students through the creation of psychological counseling centers in Georgian higher education institutions. From the general goal, five specific goals are derived:
1. Creation of psychological centers for students in partner higher education institutions;
2. Staff Training and retraining;
3. Development of recommendations and legislative documents;
4. Raising the awareness of students and the general public about mental health;
5. Creation of the Association of Psychological Counseling Centers of Georgian Universities.
