On June 26, 2024, within the framework of the sub-programme of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia's program "Promotion of Higher Educational Institutions" - "Support to the Psychological and Social Service Platform of Students", an informative meeting was held at the European University, the purpose of which was to raise awareness of mental health among foreign students.Participant of the sub-program, psychologist Natia Tchotchua talked to the students about the Erasmus+ institutional cooperation project "Opening psychological counseling centers for students in higher educational institutions of Georgia" and the results of the research conducted within the framework of the sub-program, the problems faced by students, their attitude and expectations towards psychological centers.
Participant of the sub-program, Professor Khatuna Amaglobeli emphasized the need to raise awareness among students regarding mental health and the importance of psychological counseling centers.
The issue aroused great interest among students.They participated in a survey conducted during the meeting. And then the work continued in focus groups.
