Everyone has problems in life. For the most part, we can resolve them quickly, without too much effort. However, not resolving them can cause stress and anxiety.
We Provide strategies for solving everyday life problems.
● Do you have a problem?
First, it is important to recognize that there is a problem.
How do you identify the problem at an early stage?
- Make a list. Get into the habit of making a list of problems in life.
- Use your senses. Use your negative emotions to help you: Try to find the problem that makes you feel that way when you are feeling anxious, stressed, frustrated or irritated.
- Find a challenge. If you think that problems are the biggest threat, that they are a sign of weakness or failure, and that you can't solve problems, you can't solve problems!
● What is the problem?
- Before attempting to solve a problem, you must first define it.
- Just the facts. Be careful to avoid bringing your opinions or assumptions into your explanation. They often make it practically impossible to solve the problem.
- Be specific. If you are too vague in defining your problem, it will be difficult to know where and how to start solving it.
● What are my goals for solving this problem?
Here are some tips for setting goals:
- Be realistic. Make sure your goals are achievable.
- Be specific. If your goals are vague, you won't know when you'll reach them.
- Start with short-term goals. If you set goals that can be achieved relatively quickly, you have a better chance of working on your problem.
● Come up with new solutions.
When coming up with new strategies to solve problems, you can follow the rules of "brainstorming":
- Develop multiple exit paths/strategies.
- Don't judge your decisions. Even silly, weird, or extreme decisions are okay at this point.- Use different types of decision.
- Be specific. Make sure your solutions include specific behaviors, not general strategies.
- Ask for help. If you find it difficult to come up with new and different solutions to your problem, ask friends, family members or co-workers for advice.
● Decision making.
Here are some guidelines to help you find the best solution for your problem:
- It is important to make sure that your decision will really help you achieve your goals.
- You can expect that any solution will require some time and effort, but its cost should be commensurate with your needs.
- If you think that the solution will make you feel bad, guilty, maybe it is not the best solution.
- The best solution would be to have the most benefits and the least possible costs.
Remember: there is no perfect solution; As you consider each potential solution, it is unlikely that it will meet all four criteria.
● Implementation of the decision.
To implement the decision you have chosen:
- make a list of the jobs you would work on;
- check announcements and advertisements every day;
- contact all those employers who announce the job that you are interested in;
- Rearrange your work schedule to make it to the interview if necessary.
● Check your problem.
What if my solution doesn't work?
At such times, review your steps and ask yourself the following questions:
- Did I define the problem correctly?
- Were my goals realistic?
- Are there other possible solutions?
- Is there a better solution I could have chosen?
- Did I do everything as planned?
If you complete these steps, you may find that you made a mistake somewhere, and then you can correct it and try again.
Tip: Solving a difficult life problem is hard work, so don't forget to reward yourself for a well done job.
