On May 23-27 of this year, within the framework of the European Union-funded Erasmus+ international project E-PSY ("Opening of Psychological Consultation Centers for Students"), representatives of the Shota Meskhia State University of Zugdidi together with representatives of 9 partner universities of the project paid a working visit to Bydgoszcz University of Economics (WSG).
The Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Mrs. Nunu Mitskevichi and the Head of Higher Education Department, Mrs. Maia Shukhoshvili participated in the meetings. The delegation was led by the author and coordinator of the project, professor of Sokhumi State University, Mrs. Indira Dzagania.
International project coordinator Tatia Kvaratskhelia and coordinator of the "Horizon Europe" grant office operating at the university Natia Tsipuria participated in the meetings and workshops from Shota Meskhia State University of Zugdidi.
The main purpose of the visit was to share the experience of the international partner university. The members of the delegation visited the centers of medical and social services, sensory rooms for different purposes, got acquainted with the principles of work and participated in interesting activities.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held with the mayor of Bydgoszcz, the governor of Chelmno and the representatives of the local self-government of Toruń.
It was especially important for the higher educational institutions of Georgia to sign the memorandums of cooperation with the Bydgoszcz University of Economics, which implies the continuation of cooperation in the field of research, education and culture, in which students and academic staff will be involved. This will be a new opportunity to implement exchange programs, scientific-research and educational projects, as well as holding joint conferences, workshops and summer schools.
