Within the framework of the Erasmus+ institutional cooperation project - "Creating psychological counseling centers for students in higher educational institutions of Georgia", on October 6, 2023, an international scientific conference on the topic - "Student psychological well-being and mental health issues" was held at the Telavi State University named after Iakob Gogebashvili, in which Georgian And famous psychologists, researchers, scientists and students from different European countries participated.
Conference participants were greeted by: Rector of Telavi State University, Professor Shalva Chkadua; The project - "Creation of psychological counseling centers for students in higher educational institutions of Georgia" - coordinator, the head of the Department of International Relations and Intercultural Relations of Sokhumi State University, Professor Indira Dzagania; representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, professors Nino Tsereteli and Guguli Maghradze; Tamar Aslanishvili, Head of International Relations Service of Telavi State University; Head of the Center for Human Skills, Strategy and Capacity Building Roberto Righi (Italy), Professor Irena Kudlinska of Bydgoszcz University of Economics (Poland) and representative of Transylvania University, Professor Daniela Popa (Romania).
22 reports were presented at the conference. The topic aroused great interest, which is why 30 listeners registered. Three sections worked, where psychological rehabilitation of students, improvement of communication skills, promotion of mental health and other issues were discussed. Certificates were awarded to the participants of the conference.
