On September 18-22, 2024, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia's program "Promotion of Higher Educational Institutions" (program code: 32 04 05) sub-program - Sokhumi State University project within the framework of "Supporting the Psychological and Social Service Platform of Students", SSU was visited by the representative of the New Bulgarian University, Professor Plamen Doinov. An European specialist conducted training for psychologists, the purpose of which was to train psychologists to work in counseling centers. Professor Plamen Doinov discussed such issues as the preparation of a legislative initiative on psychology as a regulated profession and the development of recommendations for Georgian policymakers and government agencies to introduce a new standard into the existing standards for authorization of higher education institutions.
